Kilian Plunkett

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, I worked as a comic book artist from the early 90's to 2005. Clients included Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, 2000AD and Marvel. The titles I worked on ranged from ‘Aliens: Labyrinth’, ‘Superman: Red Son’, ‘Unknown Soldier’, ‘Justice League Classified’ and ‘Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire’ to creator-owned works ‘The Eight Wonder’ with Peet Janes and ‘Trouble Magnet’ with Ryder Windham. While living in the US, I moved from Portland, Oregon to Brooklyn, NY. In 2005 I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work as a designer on the CG ‘Star Wars - The Clone Wars’ Animated Series. I was at Lucasfilm until 2020, moving from Lead Designer from Season 3 of ‘The Clone Wars’ to the Art Director position on ‘Star Wars - Rebels’. After completing Season 7 of ‘The Clone Wars’ for Disney as Art Director, I moved back to Ireland. I was Art Director on ‘Batwheels’ for WB Animation from 2020 until 2025.
